The crossbar is the central connection element for the assembly of this height adjustable desk. Designed as an extruded profile, it also serves as a cable channel and offers the possibility of inserting tabletops with different thicknesses. Centrally located and easily accessible from the top, the profile provides enough space for placing the control unit of the lifting columns as well as for the office related cable management.
The control panel gives the user subtle feedback. The standby mode is indicated by a discreet ‘breathing’ light signal.
The deliberately generated association should leave the table less technical and to a certain degree act ‘alive’.
PROFILE (Asero) was created as part of the Design Meets Movement competition in cooperation with the University of Wuppertal.
