This project was created based on a cooperation between LINAK Finland and the Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Helsinki, Finland. The idea was to design a novel piece of furniture where movement by LINAK® electric actuators, would play a role in its functionality. Five works were chosen to be manufactured as prototypes.
One of these was Mummotunkki. “Mummotunkki” is a mobile lifting tool. It allows you to easily reach the kitchen overhead cabinets or pick your favourite book from a high shelf. The project was presented in Helsinki Design Week 2015.
